Ready for #change11 - my goals and expectations regarding my 2nd MOOC
Hello world!
After having learnt much from my first Massive Open Online Course (on top of that it was the very first MOOC in Germany ever!) - the "OpenCourse 2011 - Zukunft des Lernens" - in early summer 2011 I am really excited to join the next MOOC now - the #change11.
Here are my goals and expectations für the next 36 (!) weeks:
- Getting an international perspectice and outlook on questions of learning technologies and open content in further education
- Expanding my network by coming in contact with so many interesting people
- Learning how to learn - and how to teach! - in a connective and self-determined mood
- Researching how to run a MOOC - especially by discussing questions of ressources and financing
- Sampling new tools as openstudy.com - at least exploring the new possibilities of posterous with this brand new blog
Therefor I am motivated to share my experiences and questions in english though my English is a bit rusty these days... I will try my very best - and sometimes I might switch to German... nicht zuletzt, wenn ich unter Zeitdruck doch ein paar Gedanken festhalten möchte.
And this is my background:
As I work for a private distance learning school for further education in Germany (ILS Institut für Lernsysteme) I am interested in solutions of learning technologies and concepts of open content by ensuring that those elearning concepts (and finally the courses) remain feasible and financeable (what means that enough people are willing to pay for those courses).

What impresses me most at the moment is the daily (!) newsletter. And I love the way of starting a MOOC with a whole week for orienation. This is really comfortable and smart.
My special thanks go to the three guys George Siemens, Stephen Downes and Dave Cormier, who make this experience possible for us all!
